The Winnetka-Northfield Chamber of Commerce held it’s 41st Annual Recognition Lunch on Wednesday, April 12 at the Winnetka Community House in Winnetka. A fashion show and a silent auction were also featured in the event. Over 225 people attended to recognize the honorees. The funds raised will be used to promote economic growth, development, and involvement in the local business and civic communities.”

The lunch was established to honor Winnetka and Northfield residents who have made a difference in their communities, outstanding business leaders, distinguished educators along with public safety officers and village employees of both municipalities. This year a lifetime achieve award and Heart of the Community Awards were added to the list of honors bestowed.

This year’s honorees are: (left to right) Leslie Farmer, representing the Winnetka Community House, (Heart of the Community Award), Jean Wright (Lifetime Achievement Award), Fred Gougler (Man of the Year), Dr. Linda Yonke (Educator of the Year), Firemedic Tim McCloskey (Winnetka Public Safety Honoree), Barbara Weldon (Woman of the Year),  Robert Smith (Winnetka Park District Employee of the Year), Debbie McMahon (Business Leader of the Year), Chief Bill Lustig (Northfield Public Safety Honoree).
