New Look for the WNCC Entrance

Thanks to the collaboration of Erik Lundin and Red Spade Environments, the entrance to the Winnetka-Northfield Chamber of Commerce has a new, improved look!  Erik came to the WNCC over the winter asking if he could help “beautify” the chamber in any way.  He was working towards his Eagle Scout status and this was the perfect project to fill the Citizenship in the Community portion of the honor. Enter Red Spade Environments and Margaret Lamason.  They are the next door neighbors of the WNCC. Margaret had previously drawn up plans to be presented to the building landlord, Bob Humphrey but had yet to do so.  This allowed a perfect opportunity for Erik to be exposed to selling a project.  He met with Mr Humphrey and presented the plans. Erik was involved every step of the way.  He gathered fellow scouts to help with the demo and planting. Red Spade Environments, owned by Scott Freres donated all of the nursery product to enable the over haul. Their team assisted the Scouts in the demo and plantings.
