SALARY THEOREM…

In walking past one of my employee’s desks the other day I noticed that he was playing with his smart phone. When I returned a little while later he was still in this posture. I asked him what he might be working on (hopefully work) and he just stared at me without any real answers. I explained to him the need to apply himself more to get further in this world and to help increase his salary and place in the organization. He then handed me the phone and explained what he is working on is called the Salary Theorem.

This theory is supported by a mathematical equation based on two postulates:

Postulate 1: Knowledge is Power

Postulate 2: Time is Money

With that in mind he explained the following:

Power = Work/Time

If Knowledge = Power and Time = Money then:

Knowledge = Work/Money

Solving for Money we get:

Money = Work/Knowledge

Thus as Knowledge approaches zero Money approaches infinity regardless of the amount of work that is completed. Thus, the less you know the more you can make.

I returned to my desk and went back trying to learn how to convert all of my old MS Dos and Windows XP programs to the new Windows Version 7. Oh, and by the way, I am thinking of making him the new CEO at Raynor Door replacing me as soon as possible. If I could only just get this stupid computer to work…..
